Welcome to A Supervised Visit

California family courts believe that maintaining the relationship between child and parent is paramount. We act as a neutral third party to comply with court ordered professional supervised visitation. Within the court order it may be stipulated what days, times, duration of the visits, locations the visits are to take place and who will supervise the visits. The most common reasons the court may deem visits must be supervised:

  • If the non-custodial parent has been out of the child’s life for an extended period of time
  • If there has never been a relationship between that parent and the child
  • If there is a threat of abduction by that parent
  • If there has been an allegation or history of:
    • domestic violence
    • child abuse or neglect
    • substance abuse
    • mental illness

The public policy of the state of California is to protect the best interest of children whose parents have a custody or visitation matter in family court. Sometimes, based on issues of protection and safety, a judge will order that a child only have contact with a parent when a neutral third person is present during the visitation. Supervised visitation serves as a viable solution, offering children a way to visit with non-custodial parents. All children should have the right to have both parents in their lives unless the court precludes such visits.
